New system install
Designed zone by zone for your lot, soil and sun. Hunter and Rain Bird hardware, Wi-Fi controller, and a 3-year workmanship warranty.
Fall blowout
Commercial 185 CFM compressor, every zone cleared at safe pressure, backflow drained, controller set to winter mode.
Spring startup
Slow pressurize, check every head, adjust arcs, program the controller for Prince George's even/odd bylaw, and hand you a zone report.
Repairs
Broken heads, stuck valves, wiring faults, leaks, low pressure. Diagnosed and fixed in one visit — parts in the trailer.
Smart controller upgrade
Hunter Hydrawise or Rachio 3 installed and tuned. Skips watering when it rains, adjusts to the forecast, and runs from your phone.
Drip & garden beds
Low-flow drip for beds, planters and hedges. Water goes to the roots, not the sidewalk — and it's bylaw-exempt when hand-timed.
Book your startup or service visit

Estimate assumes a standard municipal water connection and a lawn that's already graded. Permit and backflow device included. GST extra. Final price confirmed on site — never higher than the top of this range without your OK.
Can I water today?
Prince George runs an even/odd watering bylaw all year, with a $100 fine. Check your day, then see what a smart controller would save you over a season.
Watering day checker
Even house numbers water on even-numbered dates, odd on odd. No sprinkling noon – 5 pm (Western Acres: 8 am – 5 pm).
The city recommends about 2.5 cm a week — roughly 30 minutes per zone, twice a week on your days. A smart controller does this math for you.
Smart controller savings
Weather-based controllers skip rainy days and cut run times in cool weeks. Independent studies put savings at 20 – 40%.
Assumes 15 watering days a month, May – September, a typical 45 L/min zone flow, City of Prince George metered rate of $1.30 per m³, and 30% savings. Your numbers will vary.
Every lot is zoned
Hover or tap a zone. Each one is a valve, a set of heads, and its own schedule — so shade, slope and sun get the water they actually need.
Zones on this lot
Full sun and the biggest area on the lot. MP Rotators put down water slowly so it soaks in instead of running off — the fix for the brown patches most Prince George lawns get in July.
Same lawn, one season later
Drag the handle. Left is a Hart Highlands lawn on a hose timer in July 2025. Right is the same lawn on a four-zone RainPro system with a Hydrawise controller, August 2026.

Straight answers
When should I book my fall blowout in Prince George?
Book for the last two weeks of September or the first week of October. PG's average first hard freeze (−4 °C or colder) lands in the first ten days of October, and water left in the lines can crack pipes and backflow devices with a single cold night. If a freeze is forecast before your date, shut the water supply off at the house and we'll still blow the system out.
What's included in a spring startup?
We turn the water on slowly to avoid hammering the lines, run every zone, straighten and adjust each head, replace any winter-damaged nozzles (parts extra), set the controller to your even/odd bylaw days, and leave you a one-page zone report with run times.
How many zones do I have?
Count the numbered stations on your controller that actually run. If you're not sure, pick "Not sure" when booking — we'll count on site and charge the matching price, never more than the tier above.
Do I need a permit for a new system?
The City of Prince George requires a backflow preventer on every irrigation system tied to city water, and it has to be tested when installed. We pull the permit, install the device and file the test — it's in every install price.
Will a smart controller really save water?
Yes — weather-based controllers typically cut outdoor water use 20 – 40% by skipping rain days and shortening runs in cool weeks. With PG's metered rates, most six-zone homes pay back a Hydrawise upgrade in two to three seasons. Use the calculator above for your numbers.
What if it rains on my appointment?
Blowouts and startups run rain or shine. Installs pause for heavy rain or if the ground is too wet to trench cleanly; we'll text you the night before if a day moves.
